Description:

****THIS ONLY WORKS ON THE HTC EVO AND HTC DROID INCREDIBLE ON FROYO/2.2****

***MUST HAVE HTC SENSE***

This will not work with Gingergread or 2.3.

This app grants access to a hidden menu within the settings to allow the user to switch from a 3G(EVDO) to 2G(1X-Only) network. Android does not allow direct switching of the network from 2G/3G so this is the best anyone can do.

To switch to 2g only network:
Open the app and click on Mode of Operation. Then select 1x-Only.

To switch back to 3g: Select Hybrid.

NOTE: The phone maker, HTC, removed the icon for a 1x network and a 3g or EVDO network. Just because it says 3G or Evdo in the status bar after selecting a 1x network does not mean it is on a 3G network. It has switched. A way to tell is either download my other app Easy Access Settings. Open the app and hit "Radio Info". Scroll down till you see Network Type. If it says 1xRTT then you are on a 2G only network. If it says, "EvDo rev. A then you are on a 3G network.

EVDO only mode: Good for staying on 3G while tethering. Text messages will not come through as long as you are on this setting.
And again, this only works on the HTC Evo and HTC Incredible. It may work on a few other CDMA(Sprint/Verizon) phones, but they are not supported yet.
