Today Mozilla launched Firefox 5 making it the fastest version transition for the company since Firefox 4 was released in March.
FireFox 5 fixes several stability issues as well as many security issues. Firefox 5.0 ships with improvements in canvas, spell checking for some locales, JavaScript, memory and networking performance. Linux users will be happy to know desktop environment integration for Linux has been improved.
FireFox 5 adds support for CSS animations and the Do-Not-Track header preference has been moved to increase discoverability. Increased performance has also been obtained tuning the HTTP idle connection logic.
