A few day ago, we reported from sources that the final build for Windows 8 RTM will be build number '8888'. A recent report coming from Win8China suggests that when released Windows 8 RTM will suport build 9200.
Microsoft has already started compiling the build on Wednesday , and should have it ready for the release next week as buld 9200.16384.WIN8_RTM.120725-1247. According to The Verge, this build is the final one. No explanation on why the final RTM build has been modified, but quoting our sources:
... due to the complex nature of Microsoft's internal build process it has been forced to select 9200. Final localization checks and verification on the build will now take place, and Microsoft is expected to officially declare RTM next week. We'll be sure to update you once Microsoft is able to declare 9200 as RTM.
Also coming from Win8China, the default lock screen image has been leaked. It is apparent that Windows 8 RTM includes the final touches to the platform's apparance, including default wallpaper and lock screen images.
